Job Purpose

To manage and oversee the daily operations of the Central Purchasing accounts department, ensuring accounts are administered in an accurate and timely manner. To monitor and analyze accounting data, to produce financial reports and statements, to establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure all inbound goods and services are accurately recorded in SAP and relevant SC&L systems. Report any exceptions or breaches.
• Monitor supplier accounts, liaise with suppliers to update them with relevant information and statuses
• Ensure strict alignment of PO’s, receiving records and supplier invoices before processing for payment. Report any and all exceptions
• Ensure all accounts payable are recorded and processed in a timely manner via SAP
• Monitor and report weekly on Accounts Payable status, including total and aged outstandings, current period payables
• Produce regular accounting and status reports as required by Management and by prudent accounting protocols
• Approve cash disbursements by verifying check amounts against invoices, authorizing checks and wire transfers.
• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Create and issue Daily/Weekly/Monthly accounts payable dashboard reports.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, commerce, or related degree.
• Knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Trading, Retail, Supply Chain, Logistics or other operational organization specialize in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable
• Experience in dynamic high-volume transactional environment preferred.
• Experience with SAP S/4 Hana and SAP Cloud Analytics (SAC) preferred.

• Advanced Excel skills
• Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
• Strong Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint skills
• Superior attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and scrutinise financial information.
• Strong organizing and time-management capability.
