B. BASIC FUNTIONS AND SCOPE OF THE JOB:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing the

accounting team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the business's

financial growth through strategic planning and operational improvements.

C. Educational Background

▪ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

✓ PRIMARY DUTIES

• Prepare Financial Statements: Make sure financial reports, like income statements and

balance sheets, are accurate and ready on time.

• Review Monthly Income Statements: Check income statements every month to fix mistakes

and ensure everything is correct.

• Manage the Team: Lead and support the accounting team to work well and meet deadlines.

• Budgeting and Reporting: Create budgets, track spending, and explain any differences to

help with planning.

• Ensure Compliance: Set rules and processes to follow financial laws and protect the

company’s money.

• Secondary Duties

• Improve Systems: Help choose or upgrade accounting software to make work faster and

easier.

• Work with Auditors: Provide information to auditors and make sure audits go smoothly.

• Update Policies: Write and improve rules for handling company finances.

• Communicate with Teams: Work with other departments to align financial goals with

business needs.

• Special Projects: Help with extra tasks like cutting costs or checking if new ideas are

financially possible.

E. TYPE OF SKILLS AND/OR LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
