Job Description

Financial Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

Cost Accounting: Implement and manage cost accounting systems to track and analyze production costs, ensuring accurate product costing and inventory valuation.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Process Improvement: Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Audit Coordination: Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and compliance requirements.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities.

Team Development: Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Experience: Extensive experience in accounting, with a minimum of 5-7 years in a similar role. Specific experience in the manufacturing and production industry is highly desirable.

Skills:

Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software e.g. SAP (preferred) , and Microsoft Excel.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex financial data.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.

Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills to oversee the accounting department.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and regulatory requirements.
