* Financial Strategy Support

-Develop, manage, and refine the budgetary framework and financial planning processes to provide accurate, timely insights and forecasts that inform strategic decisions

-Act as a financial advisor to departmental leaders, interpreting financial data to guide resource allocation, support project prioritization, and enhance financial accountability across the organization.

* Comprehensive Budgeting Process Management

-Lead

the

annual budgeting process by coordinating cross-departmental budget

submissions, aligning budgets with strategic priorities, and ensuring all financial

projections are realistic and well-supported.

-Oversee ongoing budget tracking and reforecasting efforts, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions to maintain financial health and achieve fiscal

objectives.

* High-Level Financial Analysis and Forecasting

-Conduct advanced financial analysis on revenue, expenditure trends, and key performance indicators (KP|s) to inform forecasting models that predict financial outcomes based on both internal and external factors.

-Utilize data analytics tools to model scenarios, assess potential risks, and quantify the financial impact of various business strategies and market changes.


Optimizing Resource Allocation and Cost Management

-Identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing spending patterns, vendor contracts, and departmental budgets to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

-Work with procurement and department heads to review financial feasibility for major projects, capital investments, and other resource-intensive activities, ensuring efficient use of funds.

* Enhancing Financial Reporting and Transparency

-Develop and refine financial reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide leadership with actionable insights and a clear view of financial performance.

-Regularly review and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports to meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, such as investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

* Ensuring Financial Compliance and Risk Management

-Ensure that financial operations and processes are in line with regulatory standards, organizational policies, and best practices to minimize risks and enhance the company's financial standing

-Proactively identify financial risks and work closely with other departments to implement mitigative strategies, fostering a robust financial control environment.

Mentorship and Cross-Functional Collaboration

-Provide mentorship to junior analysts, guiding them on best practices for financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.

-Collaborate across departments, building a deep understanding of each department's financial needs and ensuring alignment with the company's broader financial and strategic objectives.

Requirements

Education

* Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (often the minimum requirement).

* Advanced Degree (Preferred), such as an MBA or a Master's in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

* Professional Certifications (Preferred) like Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) certification, which indicate expertise in financial planning, analysis, and compliance.

Experience

* 5-7+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

* Prior experience in roles such as Financial Analyst, Budget Analyst, or Accountant, with exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cost management

* Experience in high-stakes or fast-paced industries is often valuable, particularly if the company operates in a similarly complex environment.

* Proven experience in leading budget processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams, with responsibility for financial reporting and presentations to senior management.

Technical Skills

* Financial Analysis and Modeling: Expertise in advanced financial modeling, including sensitivity and scenario analyses, and proficiency in valuation techniques.

* Budgeting and Forecasting: Strong budgeting and forecasting skills, with the ability to interpret trends, anticipate future financial needs, and adapt to financial shifts.

* Data Analytics and Reporting: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Microsoft Excel (advanced), SQL, and financial reporting software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights).

* ERP and Financial Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with enterprise resource planning

(ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

* Knowledge of Financial Regulations: Understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance standards, with the ability to incorporate them into financial planning and reporting.
