Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the organization.
- Manage the company s financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Manage the company s cash flow and liquidity, and work with trading teams to ensure efficient financial planning and risk management.
- Collaborate with trading and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of financial processes and reporting, with a focus on LME transactions.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and applicable accounting regulations.
- Lead the audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring successful completion of audits.
- Assist in tax planning and management, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Lead and mentor a small team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 1-2 years working in a Big 4 accounting firm (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG).
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting, and analysis within the trading and commodities industry, with particular expertise in LME-related transactions.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of LME (London Metal Exchange) trading practices and financial regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with risk management strategies, particularly in commodity trading.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Arabic Speaker preferred
