Job Title: Accounts Receivable accountant (2) (Yemen - Mukalla).

About Our Client: 

is a leading Saudi platform in PropTech industry, specializing in booking of luxury residential units. The platform offers seamless and sophisticated services through advanced mobile and web applications, redefining the residential experience with a focus on privacy, comfort, and excellence looking for an analytical, process-driven, and financially meticulous accountant responsible for Accounts Receivable that will be instrumental in ensuring accurate financial tracking of its daily sales, seamless coordination with booking platforms, and supporting financial operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

1.    Reviewing daily sales through the dashboard and ensuring they match bookings from various platforms such as Airbnb, Agoda, Booking.com, and others.
2.    Verifying collection of payments for all bookings on a daily basis.
3.    Recording accounting entries related to sales transactions.
4.    Coordinating with sales department regarding deferred payments.
5.    Handling customer service requests, such as guest relocations, date modifications, and other adjustments.
6.    Managing guest accounts, including processing refunds when necessary.
7.    Collecting sales revenue through virtual payment methods.

Monthly Tasks: 

1.    Reconciling payment gateway accounts with bank statements.
2.    Monitoring and auditing collections from various booking platforms.
3.    Managing invoice payments and settlements with booking platforms.

Qualifications:  

Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar financial role.
• Proven experience in reconciliation, payment processing, and managing financial data.
• Experience in handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
• Strong familiarity with accounting systems and proficiency in virtual payment platforms (e.g., payment gateways, online booking platforms).

Skills:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in tracking financial transactions.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and dashboards to monitor and verify financial data.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelors in Accounting, or relevant major. 
• Experience working with startups or in financial operations.
• Basic understanding of financial terms and metrics such accounts receivable, revenue recognition, cash flow, deferred payments, accounts reconciliation, payment gateway, settlement, and refunds. 
• Familiarity with tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and accounting software.
• Experience using payment gateways and online booking platforms for tracking and processing payments.
