Job Overview:

Here's your chance to step into the role of Senior Manager - Financial Reporting. In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include:

• General Ledger Oversight: Lead day-to-day GL operations including timely journal postings and closure of month-, quarter-, and year-end cycles, ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies.
• Reconciliation Management: Supervise preparation and review of all balance sheet and bank reconciliations, drive resolution of discrepancies, and maintain a robust tracking system.
• Reporting & Analysis: Analyze GL data to identify trends, variances, and anomalies; provide meaningful insights and variance explanations to senior management.
• Compliance & Audit Readiness: Ensure all processes align with GAAP/IFRS standards, prepare audit schedules, and support both internal and external audits.
• Controls & Governance: Implement and maintain internal controls for GL and reconciliations; proactively monitor risk assessments and address control gaps.
• Process Excellence: Continuously evaluate and enhance reconciliation and GL processes through automation and standardization across subsidiaries.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with reporting, accounting, and IT teams to maintain accuracy and consistency of financial data and reporting integrity.
• Escalation & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the go-to escalation point for critical GL/reconciliation issues, ensuring prompt resolution and smooth inter-departmental coordination.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Assistant Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates; set objectives, monitor performance, and encourage continuous development.
• Strategic Contribution: Support special projects that add value to GS Finance, and drive a high-performance, customer-centric culture aligned with broader organizational goals.

About You:

The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional certifications (CA, CPA, ACCA) is required
• 7+ years of experience in financial reporting, general ledger, and financial close processes
• Strong expertise in financial controls, compliance, and governance frameworks
• Proven track record in stakeholder management and service excellence
• Strong leadership and relationship management skills with a customer focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of finance function and processes
• Experience working in a finance shared services is preferred
• Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred
• Experience in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle Fusion, Workday
• Experience in tools and technologies such as ARCS, BlackLine, RPA and AI-driven analytics
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles (GAAP/IFRS)
