Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts monthly.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare trial balances and support the preparation of financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Monitor and maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience (1+ years) in bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, NetSuite)
- Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
