The incumbent will have the following duties and responsibilities:
ØPrepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, invoices, and payables/entitlements.
ØReview financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with approved regulations and policies.
ØPrepare periodic financial reports (monthly/quarterly/annually).
ØMonitor accounts receivable and payable, and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
ØConduct periodic asset inventories and ensure consistency with actual records.
ØAssist in preparing the annual budget, balance sheet, and financial reports required by senior management.
ØLiaise with external auditors and provide all required documentation.
ØUse digital accounting systems to record and track financial data.
ØEnsure compliance with applicable taxation and social insurance laws and regulations.
Academic Qualifications:
ØBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
ØMinimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
ØExperience in the government or semi-government sector is preferred
Skills and Competencies:
ØIn-depth understanding of International Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations
ØProficiency in accounting software, especially Government Resource Planning (GRP) system.
ØExcellent analytical and organisational skills.
ØAbility to prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
ØAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
