About the Company:
Red Sea Gateway Terminal International is a leading group in the ports and terminals sector, committed to driving operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth. As part of our ongoing expansion and focus on robust governance, we are seeking a seasoned Internal Auditor with specialized experience in container and multi-purpose port operations, control frameworks, and risk management.
Position Overview:
The Internal Auditor will play a key role in strengthening the organization’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance framework. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in auditing port and terminal operations, risk assessments, fraud vulnerability assessments and investigations, implementing internal control framework, and developing continuous monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a robust control framework by designing internal controls with clear control definitions and control evidence requirements.
- Perform Risk Assessment and prepare risk-based audit plan. Review the audit plan with senior management and audit committee for finalization and approval.
- Implement processes and system for self-assessment of controls and control monitoring both remote and on-site.
- Periodically review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and operational processes.
- Conduct risk-based audits and prepare detailed audit reports that provide insight into the organization’s risk management, control environment and governance practices. Highlight significant findings, root-causes and actionable recommendations.
- Follow up on audit findings and corrective actions by checking evidence provided. Report periodically to senior management and the audit committee any corrective actions not effectively implemented.
- Ensure meticulous housekeeping by filing all Audit working papers and evidence in systematic and orderly fashion. Maintain and manage all Internal Audit related systems and software.
- Schedule and conduct periodic Audit Committee meetings. Brief the Audit Committee on audit plan, progress on actions and implementation status.
- Conduct Fraud Vulnerability Assessments by detailed review of end-to-end processes and highlighting weak areas with red-flags that may be susceptible to fraud. Recommend control measures to eliminate identified control gaps.
- Lead investigations into any suspected fraud, irregularities or non-compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies.
- Promote a culture of ethics, integrity and transparency throughout the organization. Increase fraud awareness and effective communication enabling prevention and reporting of fraud. Manage company’s Whistle Blower system.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
- Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, or CISA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience, with at least 2 years in ports, terminals, or maritime logistics.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing internal controls based on standard control frameworks e.g. COSO and/or ISO.
- Knowledge of port operations, concession agreements, revenue assurance, and supply chain risks. Insight and experience in process related controls covering Order-to-Cash, Procurement-to-Pay, Hire-to-Retire and Accounting-to-Reporting cycles.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel to operational sites across regions as required.
