Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Manager with a strong background in FMCG to lead and oversee financial operations, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and internal policies. This role involves managing the accounting function, overseeing budget planning and execution, monitoring financial reporting, and working closely with auditors and department heads to maintain financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance of all financial accounting activities with IFRS and internal standards.
  • Regularly assess and recommend improvements to the Chart of Accounts in coordination with the Group CFO.
  • Oversee the posting of daily accounting entries and monthly/annual closing processes.
  • Supervise general ledger activity and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Validate and process invoices with supporting documents to ensure accurate and prompt payments.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, optimizing efficiency and accuracy in payment and collection processes.
  • Manage reconciliation between general ledger and sub-ledgers and resolve inconsistencies.
  • Oversee cash, billing, and receivables reconciliations, ensuring timely recognition of revenues.
  • Assess allowances for doubtful debts and initiate write-offs as per IFRS standards.
  • Lead fixed asset register management, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and transfers.
  • Coordinate the annual master budget (CAPEX, OPEX, STRATEX), ensuring departmental alignment and timely approvals.
  • Monitor actual spending against budget, managing deviations with justifications and approvals as needed.
  • Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and risks.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely responses and resolution of audit queries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA/ACCA certification is a plus).
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG or a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable, general ledger operations, and fixed asset management.
  • Proven experience working with auditors and managing audit processes.
  • Experience in budget consolidation and variance analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial tools.
