Accounting Manager – Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations, drive financial reporting excellence, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have deep technical accounting knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a passion for optimizing processes and maintaining financial integrity. 

The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller or Director of Finance and will manage accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the external audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of audit schedules.
• Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions and new business initiatives.
• Support strategic financial planning and forecasting processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, legal, and HR teams to ensure accounting practices align with business goals.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team, promoting professional growth and a high-performance culture.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on changes to accounting standards and regulations, and ensure company compliance.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• CA certification (strongly preferred); CMA or MBA is a plus.

Experience:

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in both public accounting and corporate accounting environments (preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems
