Job Role

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of our travel business. The ideal candidate will handle supplier invoicing, payment processing, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements specific to the travel industry.

Job Description

• Process and verify supplier invoices for hotels, tours, transfers, and other services.
• Monitor accounts payable and ensure timely payments to travel partners and vendors.
• Reconcile bank statements and travel transaction records.
• Handle customer receipts, refunds, and adjustments related to booking cancellations or changes.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and journals.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, profit/loss statements, and cost analyses.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, taxation laws, and company policies.
• Assist auditors during internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with the operations and product teams on financial discrepancies or contract payment terms.
• Manage petty cash, employee reimbursements, and company expense reports as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably within the tourism or hospitality sector.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books, SAP).Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reconciliation.Understanding of travel-related transactions such as net rates, commissions, and VAT on services.Strong communication skills for working across departments and with suppliers.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.Experience working with B2B or B2C travel businesses (e.g., OTAs, tour operators, DMCs).Familiarity with multi-currency accounting and international supplier settlements.Knowledge of regional tax rules related to travel services.Tourism & Travel Industry
