About the Role

We are looking for a detail-driven and reliable Senior Accountant to join our team in Cairo. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing financial reporting cycles, consolidations, tax filings, and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations including AP and AR. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank transaction postings and reconciliations.
• Issue accurate client billing (monthly and for new clients/addendums as needed).
• Monitor outstanding invoices and lead collection efforts.
• Resolve billing issues with clients and suppliers.
• Handle VAT, WHT, and other tax filings in line with local regulations.
• Support the year-end audit by preparing and submitting financial data.
• Maintain compliance with company financial policies and local laws.
• Book daily transactions and ensure records are always up to date.
• Coordinate with internal teams to streamline payment processes.
• Deliver weekly financial and collection reports to department heads.
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Review and analyze financial data and create reports on financial status based on the analysis results
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Support and oversee tax audits (both internal and external) and tax returns

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• In-depth understanding of IFRS

Experience:

• 3-6 years of experience in junior accounting, audit, or financial reporting/consolidation roles.
• Strong knowledge of AP/AR management, billing, and reporting.
• Solid grasp of tax regulations (VAT, WHT); CSP knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience supporting annual audits and financial consolidations.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (especially Odoo).
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
