Job Overview: 

Here's your chance to step into the role of Assistant Manager - Finance at Dubai Holding Group Services. In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include:

  • Adhere to the processes, guidelines, and protocols for all financial regulatory and statutory reporting activities in line with set standards & protocols
  • Report on key performance indicators, highlight operational gaps and recommended mitigation tactics to the Manager – Financial Reporting on dealing with the challenges.
  • Work in individual capacity to implement improvement projects being undertaken within the function.
  • Keep track of the month end process for general ledger and intercompany financial transactions activities
  • Stay updated on the latest IFRS compliance requirements and provide inputs to the Manager – Financial Reporting on impacts to existing financial activities
  • Make changes where required to financial accounting by recording journal entries in the general ledger
  • Prepare, verify, and close the trial balance under the guidance of the Manager – Financial Reporting
  • Interface and work with all functions to ensure all the period related income statement and balance sheet balances are accurate. 
  • Create standalone statutory reports and associated financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards and compliances for review and finalisation by the Manager – Financial Reporting, before submission to relevant DH HQ and vertical finance stakeholders
  • Prepare the consolidating statutory reports and associated financial statements for review and finalisation by the Manager – Financial Reporting, before submission to relevant DH HQ and vertical finance stakeholders
  • Prepare annual and quarterly reporting packs to communicate financial information to management
  • Coordinate with other GS Finance teams on obtain accurate financial data for all reporting requirements
  • Work with legal teams to align all statutory and regulatory reporting to applicable laws and regulations, and make necessary changes to achieve compliance of reporting to regulations 

About you: 

The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials. 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Commerce / Business Administration (Finance). 
  • Additional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA is preferable. 
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in finance function
  • Good understanding of Finance function and processes
  • Strong understanding of statutory reporting and regulations is preferable
  • Experience working in a finance shared services is preferred. 
  • Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred.
