Head of Finance - KSA

The Role & Key Responsibilities:

•   Technical, personnel and operational management of Apex's Finance function

•   Take a lead role in building and developing a fit-for-purpose Finance team;

•   Will work with the Financial Controllers, MDs, COO and Regional Heads to ensure 
      financial information is appropriate for managing the business, its risks and P&L 
      performance.

•   Supervise, co-ordinate and execute on the drafting and completion of the annual reports 
      and accounts.

•   Supervise and complete the required reporting to the regulatory authorities.

•   Preparation of ad-hoc disclosures to the supervisory authorities in consultation with the 
      respective management board;

•   Be the contact in case of accounting and valuation issues, and complex VAT questions;

•   Ensure departmental procedures are established and regularly maintained; and that 
      reporting deadlines are met.

•   Review and assess the processes within the finance function to seek out process 
      improvements to ensure best practice is implemented with efficiencies.

•   Control the timely and accurate input of static data;

•   Continual involvement in the Financial elements of new projects;

•   Act as contact person for auditors, tax consultants and supervisory authorities. Liaise with 
      Auditors on any challenges which occur in the reporting process.

•   Manage and work with a series of senior stakeholder and the senior management team. In 
      particular support the decision makers in KSA multi-year planning, capital planning, 
      budget balance sheet, derivation of P&L planning;

•   Team management including objective setting, review and ongoing personal development;

•   Prioritise resource requirement within each team and ensure effective training and stable 
     performance;

•   Liaise closely with the Regional Head of Finance and the other Regional Finance Heads in 
      the Middle East;

•   Liaise with business lines and support departments to align and ascertain their requirements

•   Oversee annual FATCA & CRS returns jointly with Head of Compliance.

•   Monitoring of fees receivable ensuring invoicing are fully compliance with the ZATCA 
      requirements.

•   Oversee relationship with outsourced providers and third parties.

•   Assist other Middle East Apex entities (other than KSA) as may be required in day-to-day 
      functions to support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

•   Draft, prepare and present Board and Committee documentation for the required 
      corporate governance as needing in KSA and within Apex Group.

•   Execute the day to day financial recording keeping and finance function activities for the 
      new business/s in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

•   Prepare and complete monthly management accounts and share all required figures to 
      Group Finance as necessary for APEX Group Reporting.

•   Participate in recruitment and work allocation of functionalfinance activities to team 
      members as the office in the KSA is established.

•   Be trained on and become familiar with all Apex systems

•   Prepare finance reports and present to Board

Skills Required:

•   University degree in finance, accounting or related field;

•   Accounting designation (CA/CPA or equivalent);

•   Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in financial services

•   Strong proven previous experience of leading and managing teams also remotely and 
      working in an international environment;

•   Fully conversant in IFRS and GAAP;

•   Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the different time zones and cultures;

•   Excellent  communication  skills, written and spoken English with the ability to 
      communicate effectively with all levels of staff in the organisation;

•   Reliable, committed, supportive and acts in a professional manner;

•   Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst delivering to a high standard;

•   Excellent IT skills, e.g. Workday, Prophix, Financial Force, Blackline are an asset.
