Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, WPS compliance, and IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, and month-end closings.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely VAT filing in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) guidelines.
• Monitor and manage cash flow and bank dealings.
• Supervise payroll processing and WPS compliance.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
• Conduct periodic internal audits and support external audits.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure financial records comply with IFRS and company policies. Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books, Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax basics, and financial compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
