Accountant (Supermarket Experience Preferred)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in retail or supermarket operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, overseeing inventory accounting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Perform cost accounting related to product margins, promotions, and shrinkage.
Process payroll, taxes, and statutory filings (VAT, GST, etc.).
Present precise monthly P&L to stake holders.
Maintain proper documentation and ensure financial records are organized.
Work with POS and inventory management systems to ensure accurate financial integration.
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum 1-2 years in a retail or supermarket environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and retail accounting practices.
Experience with accounting software and POS systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
