الوصف الوظيفي
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations.
Cost Accounting & Budgeting:
- Track, analyse, and report on operational costs, including drilling, exploration, production, and transportation expenses.
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and control.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of capital and operational expenditure budgets.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring invoices are recorded in accordance with provisions and purchase orders.
- Verify invoice accuracy, ensure approvals are in place, and process payments in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor accounts, address discrepancies, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Support cash flow management by ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Expenses & Allocation:
- Ensure expenses are accurately recorded and allocated to the appropriate cost centres, projects, or operational departments.
- Monitor and review general and administrative expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary controls.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving expense tracking efficiency.
Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors for audits and filings.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the oil and gas sector.
Internal Controls & Audit Support:
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and reports.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
General Accounting & Other Duties:
- Maintain general ledger integrity and accuracy of accounting records.
- Support special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance. CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the oil & gas, energy, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
