We are hiring a "Chief Accountant" for our E-commerce or retail business plays a key role in managing the financial health and regulatory compliance of a fast-paced, digital retail environment. This position oversees all accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting, supports business decision-making with data-driven insights at LikeCard.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS or GAAP.

• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are consistently met.

• Monitor inventory valuation, write-offs, and cost of goods sold (COGS), integrating data from warehousing systems.

• Accurately account for payment gateway fees and related transactional costs.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal financial policies.

• Maintain and improve internal control procedures and financial systems.

• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for audits and compliance.

• Supervise, mentor, and lead the accounting team, delegating tasks and managing daily operations.

• Provide data-driven financial insights to support business decision-making.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA/ACCA certification preferred.

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in e-commerce or retail sectors.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft 365 Business Central, or Finance & Operations.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage and develop teams effectively.
