Job Summary:
This role involves maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, processing payments, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
• Maintain and update the general ledger.
• Record financial transactions accurately (accounts payable/receivable, expenses, revenue).
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate budget vs. actual reports and variance analysis.
• Assist in financial forecasting and cash flow management.
Reconciliation & Compliance:
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Support internal and external audits.
Tax & Payroll Support:
• Assist in tax filings (income tax, VAT, sales tax).
• Process payroll and ensure accurate deductions.
• Stay updated on tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Process Improvement:
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Implement accounting software updates and automation.
• Maintain organized documentation for audits.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
• 2 years of minimum UAE experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Attention to detail, problem-solving, time management.
• Understanding of GAAP/IFRS, tax laws, and financial regulations.
