Job Title: Chief Accountant

Location: SMC

Location: Bekaa

Job Summary:

The Chief Accountant oversees all accounting functions within the hospital, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with healthcare regulations, and effective internal controls. This role plays a key part in budgeting, audits, and financial strategy to support the hospital’s operational and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

•Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

•Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

•Ensure compliance with healthcare accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.

•Coordinate external and internal audits.

•Supervise and support accounting team staff.

•Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.

•Monitor cash flow and hospital expenditures.

•Implement and maintain financial policies and internal controls.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).

•Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.

•Strong knowledge of financial regulations and healthcare compliance standards.

•Proficiency in accounting software.

•Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
