Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Ourshopee.com is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end financial operations across our GCC e-commerce business, with a key focus on Bahrain-based accounting and cross-border financial processes. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, reporting, and cost control across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting, including AP, AR, GL entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and support budgeting & forecasting
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and maintain accurate revenue and expense tracking
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT filings, and regulatory reporting across Bahrain and other GCC countries
• Coordinate with internal teams on order-to-cash and procurement-to-pay cycles
• Assist in audit preparation, internal controls, and system improvements
• Work with external auditors, tax consultants, and banking partners

Compensation:

Requirements:

• 4–7 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an e-commerce, retail, or distribution environment
• GCC experience highly preferred; familiarity with multi-country operations and tax structures is a plus
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or SAP)

Skills Required:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and VAT regulations in GCC
• Proficiency in Excel, reconciliations, financial reporting, and cash flow analysis
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Professional certifications (CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA) are a strong advantage
