Operational Duties:

  • Tax Compliance:
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Preparing and reviewing tax returns, such as income tax returns, sales tax returns, and payroll tax returns, to ensure accuracy and timely filing.
  • Monitoring tax compliance risks within the organization or for clients.
  • Assist in developing and implementing internal controls, procedures, and policies to mitigate tax risks and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Tax Planning and Strategy:
  • Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions for clients or the organization.
  • Conducting tax research, analyzing financial data, and providing expert advice on complex tax matters.
  • Tax Accounting Operations:
  • Overseeing tax accounting activities, including tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and reconciliations.
  • Ensuring accurate and compliant tax reporting in financial statements.
  • Continuous Professional Development:
  • Staying updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards through continuous professional development.
  • Attending tax seminars, workshops, and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in tax accounting and compliance.
  •  Financial Duties:
  • Tax Audits and Disputes:
  • Assisting with tax audits or investigations conducted by tax authorities.
  • Managing the audit process, gathering and analyzing relevant financial data, preparing responses to tax inquiries, and representing clients or the organization during tax audits or dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Research and Analysis:
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Conducting in-depth research and analysis on complex tax issues and providing recommendations or interpretations to ensure compliance and optimize tax positions.
  • Customer Satisfaction Duties:  
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients or internal stakeholders.
  • Understanding their tax needs, providing proactive tax advice, and delivering exceptional client service. Acting as a trusted advisor on all tax-related matters.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions and processes.
  • Engaging with external stakeholders, such as tax authorities or auditors, as needed.

Education :Bachelor’ s degree in accounting, finance, or any related field. Proven experience in taxation department tax accounting, tax planning, and financial analysis.Certificates:Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.Certified Enrolled Agent is preferred.Certified Chartered Tax Advisor
