A mid-sized industrial group seeks a hands-on Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations for its manufacturing division. The role combines classic cost-and-management-accounting tasks with ERP ownership in ODOO and strong use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Candidates must bring solid UAE experience, including VAT compliance and familiarity with local banking practices.

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Post journal entries, AP/AR, bank reconciliations in ODOO
Close monthly books, prepare trial balance, and support year-end audit
Reconcile inter-company and related-party balances
2. Cost & Inventory Accounting
Maintain BOM costing, standard vs. actual variance analysis
Perform monthly physical inventory counts & reconciliations
Monitor WIP valuations and scrap reporting
3. Compliance (UAE-Specific)
Prepare and file VAT returns; ensure tax codes are mapped correctly in Odoo
Assist with corporate-tax computations and supporting schedules
Liaise with banks, free-zone authorities, and external auditors
4.Management Reporting & Analysis
Create dashboards and pivot-table analyses in Excel for KPIs: margin, OEE, overhead absorption
Support budgeting and rolling forecasts; analyse variances
Present findings to plant management in concise PowerPoint decks |

Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or ACCA/CA/CPA finalist
Experience: 3-5 years in an accounting role within UAE
ERP: Minimum 2 years of daily work in ODOO (v16 or later) – GL, Inventory, Manufacturing modules is a plus
Software: Advanced Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, basic VBA), solid Word/PowerPoint.
Regulatory: Hands-on VAT filing; exposure to forthcoming UAE Corporate Tax preferred.
Language: Fluent English (mandatory); Arabic/Hindi is a plus.
