Job Description
Main Duties/ Responsibilities
- Implement necessary control system related to Revenue and Expenses and assist in all accounting and system-related matters under the Cluster Chief Accountant (CCA)
- Assist CCA in managing and organizing the day-to-day operations in the Finance Department
Customer Relations
- Cooperate, coordinate, and communicate with other departments in matters concerning accounting, and internal controls.
- Must be able to deal effectively with all levels of management within the hotel and accomplish objectives through personal relationships in areas where little formal authority exists.
Professional techniques / Production
- Audit Revenue and Expenses to ensure internal control system is implemented
- Check all reports, TMS Reports , rebates and report discrepancies to the CCA
- Conduct regular payroll audit
- Make spot checks on inventory together with F&B cost controller
Commercial / Sales
Should not disclose any financial information on Ibis Hotels Kuwait to a competitor.
Management and Administration
- Ensure all accounts staff are proficient in hotel accounting policies and procedures and are diligently implemented.
- Assist CCA in budget and forecast preparations.
- Be punctual at work and behavior be geared to represent the hotel in the best possible way at all times.
- Ensure that confidential records and other information is properly safeguarded and not removed from the office
- 100% timely delivery of all tasks assigned as per the communicated expected date when the task was assigned
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles within Financial Accounting & Reporting
Qualifications
University graduate or equivalent diploma in Finance / Accounting
At least One or Two Years of Experience in Bahrain
Additional Information
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
- Sun & Opera system experience will be an extra advantage
- Arabic is mandatory and Conversational English
- Ensures that the workplace remains clean and tidy and that the safety of consumable goods is by always respecting HACCP regulations
- Respect the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment used
- Respect the hotel's commitment to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste, etc)
- Ensures that health, hygiene, and safety regulations are complied with and applied in the departments in compliance with HACCP standards and procedures
