• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our construction technical services company in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards and regulations, and supporting financial reporting to help drive sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with UAE regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Track and reconcile construction project costs, including materials, labor, subcontractors, and overheads, ensuring accurate job costing and budgeting.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis for projects and company operations.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations in the UAE, prepare and file VAT returns accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes.
• Monitor financial controls and internal processes to safeguard company assets and prevent discrepancies.
• Assist in payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements as needed.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and banks to resolve financial queries and ensure timely payments.
• Keep abreast of UAE labor and tax laws affecting accounting and payroll operations to ensure full compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or technical services industries.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and labor regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or Odoo) and MS Excel.
• Familiarity with IFRS and UAE financial reporting requirements.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.

Additional Information:

• Understanding of project accounting and cost control is highly desirable.
• Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) is a strong advantage.
• UAE labor law compliance knowledge will be considered favorably.
