JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to support our logistics and finance department. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks related to freight, customs, warehousing, and supply chain operations. A strong understanding of VAT regulations and logistics invoicing is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and post logistics-related invoices (freight, customs clearance, warehousing, transport) in compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
- Match invoices with purchase orders, delivery notes, and contracts.
- Prepare VAT-compliant invoices and assist in monthly VAT return filing (FTA).
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable with logistics vendors and customers.
- Assist with month-end closings and preparation of journal entries related to logistics costs.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouse providers for financial documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs declarations, and duty payments.
- Monitor and track outstanding payments and follow up with clients/vendors.
- Ensure proper filing of financial documents for audits and regulatory compliance.
- Enter data into accounting systems.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industries.
3. Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and regulations.
4. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
5. Attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills.
6. Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
7. Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Familiarity with UAE Free Zone customs procedures and import/export documentation.
2. Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Tally Prime.
3. Knowledge of Incoterms and international logistics processes.
