Job Summary:

A leading Company in the retail business is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for a professional with 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about accuracy, compliance, and process improvement. You will play a critical role in month-end closings, financial reporting, general ledger oversight, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

•Manage and perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

•Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

•Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid.

•Support budgeting and forecasting processes.

•Assist with internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.

•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.

•Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AP, AR, and FP&A. Delete it

•Supervise junior accountants or accounting assistants, as applicable.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

•5–10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a mid-to-large sized company.

•Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

•Experience with International ERP systems

•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).

•Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

•Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

•Experience in [insert relevant industry, e.g., manufacturing, SaaS, retail].

•Familiarity with tax filings and regulatory reporting
