Our client is a financial intelligence company that combines technology with expert financial services to help entrepreneurs operate at peak financial performance. Their platform offers bookkeeping, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and tax services, enabling founders to easily understand their company's financial health and prepare investor reports.

Location:
Remote, Part-time, 9 AM - 5 PM EST

Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and a strong understanding of accounting principles. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting our clients' financial needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and managing accounts payable/receivable.

  
  

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.

  
  

• Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.

  
  

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.

  
  

• Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

  
  

• Utilize accounting software and tools to maintain accurate financial records.

  
  

• Communicate with clients to address their financial inquiries and provide support.

  
  

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  
  

• Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting.

  
  

• Proven proficiency with QuickBooks or Xero.

  
  

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  
  

• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA certification or actively pursuing certification.

  
  

• Experience in SaaS or startup environments.

  
  

• Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

  
  

• Knowledge of tax preparation and compliance.
