The Restaurant Accountant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of the establishment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. The Restaurant Accountant will manage financial records, oversee budgeting processes, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This role is essential for optimizing the restaurant's profitability and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for the restaurant, including daily sales and expenses.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring that all departments adhere to financial guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
- Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies that enhance profitability.
- Provide training and support to staff on financial procedures and best practices.
- Utilize accounting software to streamline financial processes and reporting.
Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry within Kuwait
- Currently residing in Kuwait
- Available to join immediately
- Experience must be exclusively in the restaurant field
