A company in Meten is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.

- Oversee general ledger operations and ensure proper journal entries.

- Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Coordinate and support external and audits.

- Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.

- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and handle tax filings.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.

- Liaise with external vendors, banks, and auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
