Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our professional team in Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts
- Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations in Qatar
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to drive business decisions
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to streamline financial processes
- Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and local Qatar tax laws
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective time management and planning capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work well in a team
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
