Job Description

• Manage and supervise all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and fixed asset management.

• Prepare and analyse accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with [IFRS].

• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements.

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.

• Coordinate and manage external audits, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation and explanations.

• Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and report on variances.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support business decisions.

• Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

• Oversee bank reconciliations and manage cash flow effectively.

• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance.

• [Specify preferred certifications, ACCA, CMA] is highly preferred.

• Minimum of [5-10] years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least [3-7] years in a senior accounting or Chief Accountant role.

• Proven experience in managing a full set of accounts and preparing financial statements.

• In-depth knowledge of [IFRS] and local tax regulations.

• Strong understanding of internal control principles and risk management.

• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
