Probuilders is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chief Accountant with extensive experience in the contracting and construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with over 10 years of experience, and will be responsible for managing financial records, VAT, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
• Manage VAT and tax calculations, filing, and compliance in accordance with local regulations.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports for management and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Utilize Microsoft and specialized accounting software to streamline financial processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in financial data management.

Qualifications:

• Age: 35-45 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a reputable university (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as an accountant, preferably in a contracting/construction firm.
• Proven expertise in VAT and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Skills:

• Financial Management: Solid understanding of accounting principles, VAT, and tax regulations.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Detail-Oriented: Precision in financial reporting and data management.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to resolving financial discrepancies.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
