DSGD Accountant Role Profile


Purpose of Role

An experienced accountant overseeing the general accounting operations of the receivables by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Have expertise and technical knowledge of all areas impacting accounting. Must be excellent with numbers and spreadsheets, self-motivated, strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask. The primary responsibility will be to help manage the operations of the Accounts Receivable department.

DSGD Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of General Ledger entries relating to Fees only
- Raise Tuition Fees and other Fees invoices.
- Daily and weekly payment register report.

  • Dealing with queries from Parents
    - Work with Accountants Assistant and Parents to ensure proper and timely collections of fees.
    - Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations relating to fees to include Bank Reconciliation.
    - Aged Debtors
    - Cheque Holding Account (Post Dated cheques)
    - Advances Paid
    - Daily posting of receipts onto Engage and reconciling in Business Central
    - Ad-hoc Management Support Skills,
  • Qualifications and Experience
    - Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    - Accounting background · Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience
    - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) ·
    - Knowledge of accounting software
    - Experience in Education Sector
    - Knowledge of English and Arabic
    - Excellent oral and written communication skills
    - Detail-oriented and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
    - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    - Must be able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    - Ability to work calmly and flexibly to respond to multiple competing business priorities.
    - Self-motivated, detail and results-oriented, focused, and hard-working
    - Good record-keeping and organization skills
