Job Purpose:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and our specific requirements, and supporting the Chief Accountant in day-to-day bookkeeping functions for assigned client portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process in accounting software Xero.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and vendor accounts regularly
Process accounts payable and receivable, including preparing and sending invoices
Maintain general ledgers and prepare monthly management reports
Assist in preparing VAT returns and ensuring timely submissions
Monitor and manage client queries related to accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently
Support the Chief Accountant with audit preparation, month-end/year-end closures, and other ad-hoc reports
Maintain and organize financial documents for internal and client audits
Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory standards
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in accounting software - Xero
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and UAE VAT / GST regulations
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
