Pure Hands is a humanitarian organization committed to delivering impactful and inclusive programming across Yemen. We aim to create lasting change through a rights-based approach, with a particular focus on education, protection, food security & economic empowerment and climate-resilient interventions in conflict and disaster-affected communities. This position supports the project: “Emergency Response to Displacement and Climate Change in Yemen – Al-Dhale’e Governorate,” which promotes access to education and essential services for displaced children and children with disabilities.

Role_Summary:

The Finance Officer will oversee all financial operations of the project titled “Emergency Response to Displacement and Climate Change in Yemen.” This includes recording, monitoring, and analyzing financial transactions to ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, budget management, and transparent use of project resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately record and monitor all financial transactions in accordance with internal accounting systems.
• Ensure expenditures are properly documented and aligned with approved project activities and donor requirements.
• Prepare and reconcile project accounts regularly.
• Process payments to vendors, contractors, and staff in a timely and compliant manner.
• Support the preparation of project budgets and monitor actual spending against projections.
• Maintain an organized filing system for all financial documents for audit and reporting purposes.
• Generate regular financial reports (monthly, quarterly, final) for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing queries.
• Ensure financial activities are compliant with the organization’s internal control systems.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to align financial decisions with project targets.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in NGOs or donor-funded projects.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and donor financial regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
