Venture Association/Al Qadisyeh announces its need for an Accountant. To work within the project “Building Resilient and Vibrant Environment (BRAVE)”- A project for ARCPA/AL-JANA - Funded by UNICEF

• NGO Address:  Tripoli - Beddawi
• Job Title: Accountant
• Contract Type: Full Time
• Monthly Salary: 400 USD
• Duty Station/Location: Beddawi
• Working Days: 5 days a week
• Project Duration: 18 Months  

Duties:

• Prepare all project-related monthly and quarterly financial reports in English.
• Archive and document all project-specific financial documents and data both manually and electronically.
• Maintain continuous coordination and follow-up with the project coordinator in the North.
• Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in all work and adhere to the staff code of conduct.
• Prepare payroll details including employee names, salaries, account numbers, and job titles.
• Prepare salary vouchers for employees.
• Prepare all project-related costs according to budget and reporting policies and  procedures.
• Collect, record (in accounting system), and report periodic bills.
• Prepare cash advance requests and liquidation of expenditures.
• Record vouchers and bills into the accounting system, according to Financial Policies and Procedures, and based on Donors’ requirements and guidelines.
• Obtain and review monthly bank account statements and prepare monthly Bank Reconciliations.
• Receive and process donor payment advices and send acknowledgments of receipt of received fund.
• Prepare monthly expense reports for different project costs and expenses.
• Prepare quotation sheets for purchases equaling to or exceeding $500, to be reviewed with the coordinator, and administrator.
• Prepare for, coordinate for, and cooperate with different departments during the auditing process.
• Support staff as needed with financial procedures in accordance with donor guidelines and requirements.
• Submit financial reports along with all original supporting documents as per donors’ guidelines and requirements.
• Support tender process by assisting in the preparation, evaluation, and financial assessment of bids and ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
• Perform any other duties relevant to the position as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in the NGO or development sector.
• Familiarity with donor financial reporting requirements and procurement procedures.
• Strong knowledge of different accounting software, computer driving, and Microsoft Excel.

• Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Arabic is required (spoken and written)
