About the Role:
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst who can go beyond accounting to become a strategic thought partner to leadership and sales teams. This role will be central to driving insight into pricing, margins, promotions, stock performance, and customer/channel profitability.
You will work directly with the business owner, and help professionalize and streamline financial visibility and commercial decisions across divisions.
This is not a traditional accounting role. This is for someone who wants to use numbers to shape strategy.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and automate channel/SKU/customer-level P&Ls and margin analysis
- Analyze returns, promotions, and distribution costs to assess true profitability
- Partner with sales/category teams to evaluate promo ROI, pricing, and reorders
- Track and explain budget vs actuals, helping business heads stay on target
- Design and deliver management reports/dashboards in Excel or Power BI
- Scrutinize value chains with proper costing analysis
- Conduct pricing analysis in light of sellout data
- Support forecasting and planning processes across both divisions
- Create and structure SOPs that ensure financial discipline and accountability
- Collaborate closely with the accounting team to bridge operations and finance
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support board-level decisions and investments
Who You Should Be:
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Business Partnering, ideally in an FMCG or consumer goods environment
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools (e.g. Odoo)
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, yet commercially savvy
- Able to challenge assumptions and communicate data-driven insights to non-finance stakeholders
- Someone who thrives in entrepreneurial, fast-moving environments
- Bonus: experience with distribution models, modern trade, or travel retail
