About this rolePosition OverviewThe Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting of the destination, working closely with the General Manager. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial transactions and reports, while supporting budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance with internal policies and local regulations. The position requires strong accounting knowledge, reliability, and the ability to work independently within a growing team.Responsibilities:Manage the company's financial operations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial management systemManage all functions of Accounting & Financial planning such as budgeting, strategic planning and account closingCash management and financial activities of the company to ensure sufficient liquidityManage and control companies' credit policy and procedure to ensure minimized credit risk exposureReview and analyze daily, weekly and monthly cash flow statement, bank reconciliationPrepare regular weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly cash flow forecastsAnalyze weekly / monthly Accounts Receivable reports and manage financial riskDevelop and maintain excellent relationships with banks and external agencies for all responsible areasVerify and monitor customer credit status e.g. credit limits, credit terms, current balance overdueMonitor payments due from customers are collected according to given credit terms and overdue payments are minimized and collected.Manage cashier team to understand and work on finance process correctly and efficientlyProvide leadership to Accounting & Finance operations and reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing reporting to internal and external sources, adherence with IFRsDevelop good working relationships with professionals such as bankers, auditors, clients or statutory organizations for the benefit of companyWork with the auditor to ensure a timely year end auditEnsure the integrity, accuracy and reliability of all financial information and maintain in accordance with the company's accounting policies, principles and practicesEstablish procedures for working capital and cost accounting standardQualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance are requiredProfessional qualification is preferred e.g., CPA and good knowledge of taxAt least 5 years relevant work experience in Accounting and financial management level in DMCs companies is a mustSkills:Good drive, strong leadership abilities, excellent communication, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills are a mustCommercial awareness and general business skillsExcellent in English (spoken & written) and computer literacyNote: This job description is not intended to be all inclusive.
