Job Summary:

The General Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role includes maintaining financial records, handling accounts receivable/payable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable and payable transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries and monthly closing activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
• Support in tax reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Utilize Odoo Accounting Software efficiently for all accounting tasks.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist in audits and provide required documentation.

A reputable company is seeking to immediately hire a General Accountant who meets the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in:Accounts receivableAccounts payableBank reconciliationsProficiency in using Odoo Accounting SoftwareExperience in preparing monthly and annual financial reportsGood knowledge of accounting principles and tax reportingAbility to work effectively within a team and under pressureProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Preferably residing in or near New Cairo – First Settlement.
