الوصف الوظيفي

The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting in the development of financial strategies to support the organization's goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting principles.
  2. Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  3. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  4. Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  5. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  7. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  8. Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
  9. Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.
  10. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  3. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
  9. Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
  10. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new financial practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Understanding of internal controls and risk management.
