The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting in the development of financial strategies to support the organization's goals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting principles.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
