Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are working with a highly respected regional organisation headquartered in Bahrain, with operations across the GCC and India. As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Chief Accountant to lead their accounting and tax function across multiple jurisdictions.

This is a senior-level role requiring a professionally qualified accountant with at least eight years of experience and a strong understanding of financial regulations across the GCC and India. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of GCC tax regulations and developments, and a sound grasp of financial compliance requirements in the GCC and India. An IT or technology sector background is highly preferred, as the organisation values automation, system improvements, and a proactive approach to financial leadership.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, statutory audits, tax filings, and ensuring full compliance with both local and international accounting standards. A key part of the role involves supporting senior leadership with financial insights and ensuring that each regional office adheres to the necessary legal and tax frameworks. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, as the role will involve managing a small team and liaising across multiple departments and jurisdictions. Arabic language skills would be an advantage, though not essential, and preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available or on a short notice period.
