Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our hospitality team at a remote desert tourist camp in Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the operation. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to work in a one-of-a-kind environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Process invoices, payments, payroll, and reimbursements
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Ensure compliance with Omani tax regulations and internal financial policies
• Coordinate with suppliers and clients for payment and billing matters
• Work closely with management on cost control and financial optimization
• Support external audits and financial reviews
• Manage petty cash and monitor on-site expenditures

Required Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role (hospitality experience is an advantage)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Good English communication skills (Arabic is a plus)
• Ability to work independently in a remote location
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong sense of responsibility, confidentiality, and ethics
