Job Description

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements as required.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Maintain compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations and standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure proper cost allocation and financial tracking for ongoing projects.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely submission in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of proven experience in accounting, preferably within the construction or contracting industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards in handling confidential financial information.
• Experience working in an office-based, full-time, and long-term role.
