About the client: 

The client is a full-service property solutions provider offering end-to-end services for both residential and commercial projects. Their expertise spans from initial architectural design to complete fit-outs, renovations, and bespoke interior design.

We're looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong experience in construction/contracting accounting and a solid understanding of UAE tax laws. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to strategic financial decisions. Prior experience working with multiple companies/entities and proficiency in modern accounting software like Zoho, Odoo, or similar platforms is essential.

• Job Title-Sr Accountant
• Location: Dubai Marina
• Experience Required: Minimum 6 years
• Working days-Mon-Sat (6 days working)
• Working hours: 8 am - 6 pm
• Salary Range: AED 8000-10000

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle full-cycle accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, bank reconciliations, and monthly/yearly closings.
• Prepare and review financial reports, project cost reports, and budget forecasts.
• Ensure timely and accurate VAT and Corporate Tax submissions in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Monitor construction project costs, contracts, billing schedules, and cash flow management.
• Maintain inter-company transactions and consolidations across multiple entities.
• Lead and manage a small accounting team, ensuring high standards of performance and accuracy.
• Work closely with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 5-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or contracting industry.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are a plus).
• Up-to-date knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax laws, and compliance standards.
• Experience working with multiple companies/entities.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Zoho, Odoo, QuickBooks, or similar cloud-based platforms.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proactive, smart, and a quick learner capable of leading the team and streamlining processes.
