About the role

As a GBS Accountant you are responsible to apply and adhere to all Company Accounting policies and procedures and to actively contribute to revenue recognition of the business performance.

The position reports to the GBS Finance Controller - General accounting in UAE and will work closely with the GBS Finance Manager , the GBS Finance organization as well as other Wilhelmsen business divisions in UAE.

What you will do

• Checking of job files, closing and finalization of job accounts.

  
  

• Responsible for Maritime Logistics Job closing.

  
  

• Checking of Cash & Bank payment vouchers of all Maritime Logistics departments and submitting to concerned Manager.

  
  

• Reconciliation of Local and Overseas supplier payments.

  
  

• Bank fund monitoring on daily basis.

  
  

• Account customer and supplier allocation.

  
  

• Issuing of customer related Credit notes after management approvals.

  
  

• Follow up on Revenue Recognition of ML business.

  
  

• Principle reporting for ML key principles for UAE & Oman.

  
  

• Assist in internal & external audits.

  
  

Qualifications

•  Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent in professional accounting body.

  
  

• Minimum 3 years working experience.

  
  

• Good command of the English language (both written and spoken).

  
  

• Ability to think analytically.

  
  

•  Ability to handle pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

  
  

• Proficient in MS office applications especially MS Excel.
