Job Description
Overall PurposeThe Partnership Finance Officer position exists to support programmes – partnership department and its partners across all sectors. This role is crucial for ensuring effective financial management and review of partner finance reports and documentation as well as providing support to partners finance staff. The Partnership Finance Officer will support in preparing of Medair internal reports, payment requests, and monitoring of partner financial systems. In addition, the role will conduct partner assessments, develop and deliver capacity strengthening plans.
Project/Department OverviewThe partnership department within Medair Jordan Office manages partnerships across all sectors in the organization, including Social Protection, PSS, and Health. The department leads the identification of new partners, conducts assessments, and handles the contracting processes. Additionally, it liaises with other programmes and support departments to ensure effective implementation and financial management of partners’ sub-grants.

Essential Responsibilities
TASK/Responsibility, % of time requiredFinancial Management (40%)Support effective review to partners’ financial reports and supporting documents to ensure compliance with the partnership agreement, donor regulations and Medair policy, providing feedback to partners as necessary and flagging any compliance and financial management issues to Medair management.Ensure high collaboration with Medair program staff by having a system of mutual sharing and review of partners reports and updates.Liaise with partner organizations to ensure completeness, correctness and accuracy of financial reports according to the partnership agreement, partner narrative reports, Medair policies and donors’ regulations.Review and prepare PDFs for partner organizations’ payments, ensure a tracking system and matching of advance payments and expenses reported.Provide support to the management by tracking all partner budgets and financial reporting deliverables, inform Partnerships Manager, Finance Manager, Programmes Coordinator, and the Program focal points of any potential issues with spending and financial reporting.Maintain the bookkeeping and files related to all the partners’ sub-grants hardcopies and softcopies, filing all financial records and makes it available for management, internal /external audit and review.Work with Finance team to collaborate internal and external audit to ensure proper compliance with all regulations and to ensure that all partnerships files in hard and soft copy are always 100% audit ready.Ensure regular update of the financial section in partners tracker.

 Provide support in the preparation and conduct of financial training for partner organizations.Liaise with partner organizations on a regular basis to provide program support in areas of finance.Liaise with Medair programs to ensure the consistency between partners’ narrative reports and financial reports.

Required Educational Background / Experience/ Technical and Personal Know-Hows
Level of education required A university degree required in one of the following fields: accounting, finance, or related relevant field.

Working experience required2-3 years of experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings, specifically in finance, partnerships, sub-grants management, capacity building, audits. Skills and experience in managing and coordinating with multiple partners concurrently is highly regarded.
Language skillsFluency in English and Arabic is required
Information system skillsStrong level of computer literacy
