Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our logistics and general trading business. The successful candidate will handle day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, inventory costing, and support compliance with trade and tax regulations. Experience in logistics, import/export, and trading environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and journal postings.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor and control cash flow and working capital.
Logistics & Trading Accounting:
• Manage accounting for import/export transactions including customs duties, freight, insurance, and taxes.
• Track inventory movement, costing, and valuation using FIFO/LIFO/Weighted Average methods.
• Coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Record landed costs accurately and allocate them across multiple SKUs.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
• Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Issue invoices to customers and follow up on receivables.
• Monitor credit limits and payment terms for customers.
Compliance & Taxation:
• Ensure compliance with VAT/GST, customs regulations, and local tax laws.
• Assist in preparing tax returns, audit schedules, and regulatory reports.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
Systems & Controls:
• Use ERP systems to maintain accurate records (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho Books, Tally, or QuickBooks).
• Improve accounting processes and implement internal controls.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in logistics, trading, or supply chain industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of import/export documentation, incoterms, and costing principles.
• Familiarity with international shipping terms and customs duties.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience working with multi-currency transactions and international suppliers/customers.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations, especially VAT/GST related to trading and shipping.
